La is an experienced litigator whose practice has included the representation of business clients for over 18 years at the local and national levels. She has partnered with clients to achieve desirable outcomes in commercial litigation, labor and employment, tort and insurance defense, fraud and bad faith litigation, financial services litigation, and bankruptcy litigation. Her jury trial experience in federal and state court includes one of Alabama’s most challenging venues for corporate defendants. Prior to joining Ken Perry Law Firm, LLC, La served in partner and of counsel capacities at two highly regarded, full-service firms in Birmingham, Alabama.

La received numerous awards and recognition over the years. She is a graduate of the Leadership Birmingham Class of 2010. In 2011, she was selected by the Birmingham Business Journal as one of Birmingham's “Top 40 Under 40” business leaders. In 2012, she was named the Cumberland School of Law’s Outstanding Alumna of the Year.

La’s professional leadership positions include Past President of the Magic City Bar Association, Past Chair of the Birmingham Bar Association (BBA) Continuing Legal Education Committee, and the Executive Board of BBA Women Lawyers Section. On a national level, La held numerous leadership positions in the American Bar Association (ABA), where she was elected Delegate-at-Large to the ABA House of Delegates, appointed Chair of the ABA Legal Opportunity Scholarship Fund, and appointed Liaison to the ABA Diversity & Inclusion Advisory Council. La is also Vice Chair of the Business Litigation, Corporate Counsel, and Women Trial Lawyers Committees of the ABA Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section (TIPS). La is a frequent speaker at bar conferences on various litigation topics.

La graduated cum laude from Millsaps College in 1998. She received her J.D. from Cumberland School of Law of Samford University in 2001, also earning an M.B.A. from Samford in 2001. During law school, she served as Associate Editor of the Cumberland Law Review, and received special awards and recognition in legal research and writing and moot court advocacy.

La is active in the community and served in leadership roles on several boards including the American Cancer Society and Girls, Inc. of Central Alabama. She is a silver star member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
